Growing up in a single-parent househ venerable was reasonably difficult. My mom would piddle eight to ten hours each look upon solar twenty-four hour period m and would arrive home exhausted. When it was done, all of the chartering was done in Spanish. All of my classmates were Hispanic and this was cod to the separationism the school system had. They would separate all of the Hispanics and Caucasians. They never taught Hispanics how to testify or write i n English. When I entered scratch Grade, I was told by my mom that we would be moving to Iowa. She had just lose her job and was told by her br other that there was a mass of work there. We soon moved, and I was now attending a whole fresh school with a whole brand-new language! A language that I was never bear with; English! I clearly remember my fist day in origin grade.
I was face to face with a person, which for once in my life didnt know my language. She was my first grade teacher and her name was Mrs. Gallo. I tried my hardest to get wind what she was asking me but it was impossible. I felt trapped, co nfused, lost and didnt know what to do. My l! egs started trembling and my skin started to get sweaty and cold.
